Our Story
Roofing is a fine craft that we here at Walker Custom Roofing, take very seriously. Our founder, Jesse Walker, was taught how to nail on shingles at the young age of 14 by his father Stanley, his Uncle Sonny and Uncle Bob. Working alongside his family, he was quickly able to appreciate the value of hard work and craftsmanship.
In his near 30-year history of roofing, Jesse has worked for a multitude
of companies throughout the state, learning how to install all types of
roofing systems. After some time in the business, he was able to see the disconnect between the customer’s and the estimator’s needs and he noted that it was the customer who suffered.
In 2011, Jesse launched his own business, committing to give customers something entirely different than other commonplace business practices. A hands-on approach for the craft, great service and detailed workmanship were all part of a system that sat a little better with him.
Hands-on means that his customers will notice that he gets on their roof for every estimate. Jesse is the owner, the project manager for all his jobs, and also a roofing technician (who happens to be a certified Master Craftsman). One thing he is not is a salesman. In fact, there is no such thing as a salesman here at Walker Custom Roofing.

Having to get a new roof freaked me out...it's a lot of money and you hear so many horror stories from other home owners. I had multiple estimates but Jesse, from J.R. Walker, made me feel secure and they knew what they were doing! They were professional, priced very reasonably, and were a joy to work with! The office kept me up to date with schedules and payments and could NOT have been any more accommodating. Not only did they get the roof done, Jesse identified the overall problem of why my roof was so bad and assisted me in getting a plumber out here to correct the overall problem. Could not have been happier with how the whole thing went down...if you have heard horror stories about getting a new roof...change your opinion and go with these guys...it will change your whole outlook on the subject!!!
